Spring-Cushioned Foot Wear (Kim): U.S. Patent No. 11,528,962 and European Patent 3850979

Shoes with a spring in their heels have been around for a few years. Until now they have been essentially a novelty to help sell shoes. While they do provide a minimal level of cushioning, a single spring provides a single point of contact for the heel, and that is not conducive to maintaining foot and ankle health and pelvic alignment. This international patent family takes this concept to the next level.

These patents create a shoe, sneaker, or boot with four independent springs built into the heel. Each spring moves up and down independently to adapt to the surface the user is walking over in real time – just as an automotive suspension does! Independent research has shown that foot wear using this technology provides a 30% impact reduction vs. conventional outsoles and produces a 70% improvement in pelvic alignment.

U.S. Patent No. 11,528,962; European Patent 3850979 with UK Validation; and Vietnam Patent 46965 for a “Shock-absorbing shoe using spring” would enable any foot wear manufacturer to introduce a line of spring-soled shoes that provide significant added comfort and documented benefits for the wearer. This patent has applications in athletic footwear, medical/rehabilitation footwear, industrial safety boots, and military boots.

Spring-in-Your-Step Shoes (Versi): U.S. Patent No. 11,793,270

Being described as having a “spring in your step” will soon be taking on new meaning. We all have a personal relationship with our shoes. We have shoes that look good with certain outfits, but they are not every comfortable, but we wear them anyway. It is not uncommon for a woman to take an extra pair of comfortable shoes to work. Finding a super-comfortable pair of shoes, boots, or sneakers is a wonderful experience, but a painful one when they wear out and we have to find a new pair to replace them.

This patent takes shoes to a totally new level – literally a totally new level! This patent adds a third sole to the shoe. The inner-sole is the part of the shoe that comes in contact with the bottom of our foot. The outer-sole is the bottom of the shoe that comes in contact with the ground. This patent adds a third sole that fits between the inner-sole and the outer-sole and contains a network of small coils. These coils add considerable “spring” to the shoe, literally giving the wearer a “spring” (several small springs, actually) in his or her step. The concept can be applied to conventional as well as orthopedic men’s and women’s shoes, plus boots and sneakers, creating an incredibly comfortable item of foot wear that absorbs the shock of the weight of the human body hitting the ground each time the wearer steps forward! The springs store kinetic energy that is delivered to the wearer in his or her movements. The patent calls for the use of one, two, or three springs, and the toe spring is an evolution in sports technology that enables users to run faster and jump higher.

U.S. Patent No. 11,793,270 for “Shoes and sole springs for shoes” would enable any footwear manufacturer to offer a revolutionarily new level of comfort and performance for its customers!
